Ileana Esther Dominguez Vargas was born on March 23, 1929 in Cielas, Puerto Rico to the parents of Hector Fernando Dominguez Sr. and Emilia Dominguez. Ileana was the second born of five sisters.
During her love for figure skating she met her soul mate, Joseph Vargas. They were wed on March 27, 1948. Together they had 7 children. Ileana's greatest passion was Church. She loved the Lord and love to sing songs of worship. She took pride in spreading the word of God everywhere she went. Her home was an open door to everyone. Whether you needed guidance, shelter or prayer, she always made room for one more. She made you feel at home. Ileana was preceded in death by her Father; Hector Fernando Dominguez Sr., Mother; Emilia Dominguez, Stepmother; Julita Dominguez, Grand Daughter Eileen Lynn Lopez and Grand son James Vargas jr. Ileana is survived by her Husband Pastor Rev. Joseph Vargas sr., sister Mildred Plinario, Husband Domingo & children; Lillian Dominguez, & children; sister Iris Bisbal, Husband Raoul, & children; sister Judy Lugo, Husband Andy & children; brother Hector Fernando Dominguez jr., wife Milagro & children; sister Emily Ann Torres, husband Randy & daughter; brother Angel Louis Pagan, & children. Ileana's children; Joseph Vargas jr., wife Rita, Colonel Daniel Vargas sr., wife Kathy, Esther Lopez & husband Orlando, Iris Everitt & husband David, Elias Vargas & children, Robert Vargas sr., & wife Janet, James Vargas sr., wife Patty. Ileana and Joseph were married on March 27, 1948. Above is a small tribute that was gathered together for our 1st family reunion without our loving and beloved parents. This is the way our beloved parents brought us up mom and dad always had a gathering in their home, for special occasions and holidays. Therefore the Vargas family has decided we will do our best to keep their tradition alive. The entire Vargas family will have a gathering or family reunion to keep mom and dad's family tradition alive.
This Memorial website was created in the Loving Memory of our beloved one Ileana Esther Dominguez Vargas who was born in Puerto Rico on 3.23.1929 and passed away on 9.29.2001 at the age of 72. We love her and will remember her forever.

My Dear Little Mother
Everyday I thank God for such a sweet
Little Mother he has given me. Although we are
Miles apart I still remember you in my heart.
For you are the kindest person I know. I
thank God he gave you to me. For in you I
See and know what it means to be still, observe
And Let the Holy Spirit flow within us.
You are sweet like honey is to a Bee. You are
Gentle. You have shown me what a Real Christian
Woman is to be in her everyday life. Not only
While in church, but in her everyday life. I thank
God for your sweet little ways. Our Father in heaven
Put you in our lives so we could learn the ways of
Meekness, to be humble, and most important to
Follow his Commandments. I know you love God.
All your life you have served him and "NEVER"
Turned your back on God. You know, there is a
reward for your Life long service and you
shall receive it.
I pray some day in my life my Daughter and Son
